CASA LUNGOLAGO
A building dating back to the period between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries inserted in the historic curtain wall of the lakefront of Cannobio, a city on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore.
The building, of great historical and cultural value, required significant renovations which involved the lake front and the renovation of the entire roof, as well as the complete renovation of the top floor apartment. With the interventions in the project, it was also planned to convert the volume of the attic into living space and, from a structural point of view, it was necessary to renovate and consolidate the existing floors.
While a conservative restoration had to be carried out for the exterior, more modern and contemporary solutions were designed for the interior: the mezzanine rooms, overlooking the living room, are connected to the living area by a designed and engineered steel staircase custom made, a characterizing element of the environment with a great visual impact.

Un fabbricato risalente al periodo tra il Quattrocento e il Cinquecento inserito nella cortina storica del lungolago di Cannobio, città sulla sponda piemontese del Lago Maggiore.
L’immobile, di grande valore storico e culturale, richiedeva rilevanti interventi di ristrutturazione che hanno riguardato la facciata a lago e il rifacimento dell'intera copertura, oltre alla ristrutturazione completa dell'appartamento all'ultimo piano. Con gli interventi in progetto si è anche previsto di convertire il volume del sottotetto a spazio abitativo e, dal punto di vista strutturale, si è reso necessario il rifacimento e consolidamento dei solai esistenti.
Mentre per l’esterno si è dovuto procedere con un restauro conservativo, per l’interno sono state progettate soluzioni più moderne e contemporanee: le camere a soppalco, con vista sul soggiorno, sono collegate alla zona living da una scala in acciaio progettata e ingegnerizzata su misura, elemento caratterizzante dell’ambiente dal grande impatto visivo.
